Typography – b

I use typefaces in my everyday business – i pick them, i color them, make them tilt, put them up side down, make them larger than life, make them glow, make them walk, make them talk, make them silent, make them scream. This is Cosmopolis, a typeface I designed.

The idea for the typeface comes from my background as a member of a family of pharmacists. In the old days the pharmacists mixed medicine themselves at the pharmacy and stored the different substances in glass bottles. I have seen these bottles all my life but recently I started to look at the labels, which to my surprise, are all hand drawn. All in the same typeface. So from that I got the idea to restore and give this typeface a digital life. 🎺🍀😊
